Teacher Lin Hongxing (hereinafter referred to as Lin):I studied philosophy in my major, ethics in my master’s degree, and Chinese philosophy in my doctoral degree. It can be said that my students’ life has been in the department of philosophy, and after graduating from my doctoral degree, I have always been teaching and research and development tasks in philosophy. I went to major in 1979, and like ours, the first thirty years of transformation and opening up. In the past thirty years, our country has undergone great changes, and on the other hand, it has created many for us.After my classmates graduated from school, they have all kinds of tasks. However, I had a basic judgment on myself very early. According to my personal temperament, I guess it is not suitable for political and business. It is neither cunning nor shrewd. Of course, this is not to say that I am suitable for long-term care in academic research. However, the job of people is often related to certain machines. I remember that when I was studying undergraduate, I published an academic paper in the academic journal. At that time, I was a unique class in the class. This luck or machine can be a major cause that prompted me to embark on my future academic journey.

 

I remember that Teacher Mou Zongsan once said that when a person seeks his own fantasy, he should be in the same age and vulgarity as his elegance and youth, and have something to do and not do anything to do. I think these statements are reasonable and what people can expect is not what they are in the present, nor what they are accomplished, but what they are in the present, but what they are in the aspirations set up and what they are in the aspirations. Especially in the years when we grew up, the whole society has undergone earth-shaking changes, and various opportunities and ability to come to people all the time seems to be difficult to get people to resist and resist. But for a specific individual, those seemingly opportunities are not necessarily opportunities. I have always believed that a person’s life and strength or sexual orientation has its own specific regulations, and what people need most is to recognize you. Once you have realized your own characteristics, even if you face all the confusion, you can still have the “unwillingness” that Mencius said. I think the elegance and Hanzi’s atmosphere mentioned by Teacher Mou should be related to this. With this kind of eleganceTaiwan Baohua Network and Hanzi Qi, one can destroy everything in reality, all the tragedy, all the treacherous, and even all the sufferings and difficulties, and walk forward bravely and alone. These are just a few of our personal experiences in life. However, even tomorrow, the times and individuals are still unable to avoid impatientness. Therefore, how to establish one’s own ambitions and do the work that one considers is still important. Mencius said: “A person who has virtue, wisdom and knowledge always has diseases and is a lonely minister and a bad son. He is also in danger of being exhausted and has deep troubles, so he can achieve it.” Both facts and principles can be connected.

 

Kong:For more than ten years, you have focused on Xunzi’s philosophy, discussing and expressing sensibility. In your early years, you also discussed the sensibility of Confucianism in your articles.I think, what do you think is the focus of Confucianism’s sentiment and what aspects of the body are now. Don’t stay with the emotional zone in Western learning?

 

Lin: I think what you are asking is a good question and a difficult answer. It is difficult to avoid any misunderstandings when answering it.

 

  

Let me first talk about my own academic research, I have a more self-conceptual plan for this category. My doctoral thesis was conducted by Liu Huishan’s philosophy research. Liu Huishan was a military officer who was regarded as the wise man of many students. He summarized the theory and “time” of Song and Ming Dynasty. I have said that in the history of Chinese Confucianism, the scholars who can be called “concentrated style” were Xun Qing, the pre-Qin period was Zhu Zi, the Ming and Qing dynasties could be called Fengshan and Chuanshan, while in modern times, the Mou clan was the third grade. The so-called “continuous style” scholars must have their own clear understanding and insights, wisdom and wisdom, and the aura of the hundreds of schools of income and expenditure and the hundreds of schools of thought. I love reading these scholars’ books. I don’t have the thoughts of my parents, nor do I do it out of personal friendship or personal love. Instead, through their words, we can not only scrutinize the thoughts of a wise man, but also use this to touch the thoughts of a generation and feel the infectious flow of many times. When they gather into a grand whirlpool, the unintentional and capable nature of the philosopher students. I personally think this is a great way to prevent extremes and distractions, and to open your mind and vision. As a result, after I finished Liu Zong Zhou Zhe’s study, I had a mechanism to teach Xunzi and then discussed Xunzi; the next step was to prepare to do some discussion on Zhu Zi’s ethics.

 

When talking about the problem of sensory, in general, Confucianism emphasizes sensibility, and the Master does not say “strange, force, trouble, and god”. This is a bit of the point. But as scholars have pointed out, Confucian sentiment focuses on actual sentiment, but in comparison, the theoretical sentiment is not very important. Oriental Philosophy seems to be the opposite. This should be reasonable at most as far as modern Oriental Philosophy is concerned.
